How does HBRWC define a "service area"?

A service area is generally defined around a 30 mile radius, however, the actual service area, also known as a market, may vary from this general definition. For more details, call (866) 760-4399 to speak to the area service manager for your region.

How many service requests can I expect to receive from your company?

There is no way to predict the number of claims that might be placed in a particular market. We continue to grow at an aggressive rate, and the work for our partners also continues to grow. Your region’s service area manager can give you more specific counts.

If I enroll, how soon will work begin to come through?

After we receive your enrollment paperwork, it takes up to 72 hours to activate the new service provider account. Once your account is activated we can begin to dispatch work immediately.

What type of insurance does HBRWC require of services providers?

At the time of initial enrollment, we simply require that you are licensed and that your company is insured. We will accept your company’s current insurance policy as long as the coverage is applicable for your trade and service area.

When you renew the service agreement, we ask that you obtain insurance for $2 million per incident and $2 million aggregate, and that HBRWC is included as an additional insured.

How will HBRWC notify me of a job requiring my services?

We prefer to email the requests to you, but we will also fax them if that works best. Also remember that you can view your service requests immediately via your contractor online account.

How is a claim authorized?

You may have a claim authorized in three ways:
  • Call the authorization department at (800) 482-4776.
  • Log in to Contractor Online on the 2-10 HBW website.
  • Authorization via email.
