I purchased a newly built home in September 2006 and since then, I have renewed my 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Service Agreement each year. I subscribe to the adage, “It’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.” The first three or so years, I don’t believe I needed any major service/repairs done.

However, during the last several years, my 2-10 HBW Service Agreement came in very handy. My A/C, heater, refrigerator and garage door have all been serviced and/or repaired on numerous occasions. If it were not for my 2-10 HBW coverage, I would have had to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket. I have recovered most, if not all, of the money I paid annually to renew my Service Agreement. Homeowners should definitely obtain 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty coverage if at all possible!
