When we first bought our home in 2010, our Realtor® recommended 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty® because the home was a short-sale. We have renewed it every year since. This year our warranty expired on 7/28 and I was considering not renewing, but we decided we should renew. Our renewal date was 8/7. On 8/9, the air conditioner on the top floor stopped working! I was so thankful we decided to renew. I used the home warranty and it only cost me $75 for the repair.
Had it not been for the warranty, the repairman would have tried to sell me a new air conditioner. I am thankful we decided to renew with 2-10 HBW.
