New Introductions only

The suggested builder must not be a current builder member or a past member of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty (2-10 HBW) Program.

Getting paid

The $100 reward will be paid out within 30 days of the builder becoming an approved member of the 2-10 HBW program. This doesn’t happen immediately. Sometimes builders are ready to sign up immediately, sometimes they’re not.

Builder Membership required

In order for a builder to be a member of the 2-10 HBW program, they have to complete a builder application and submit the registration fee. The paperwork is reviewed by the 2-10 HBW Underwriting department. If everything meets 2-10 HBW standards, the builder’s application will be approved, the membership will become active and you will receive your $100 within 30 days. Occasionally, a builder does not qualify for the program. If this is the case, the reward will not be paid.

Details

The 2-10 HBW Builder Connection program is not related to a real estate transaction or a federally related mortgage loan. 2-10 HBW is paying for the introduction to a builder and the payment is not contingent upon the builder putting a warranty on a home. To be clear, you are not required to talk to the home buyer or convince the builder to place a 2-10 HBW warranty on a home the builder sells. If the builder puts a 2-10 HBW warranty on the home, you will not receive any compensation for the purchase of the warranty. The reward is paid when the builder becomes a member of the 2-10 HBW Program. Once in the program, the builder has the ability to purchase the warranty and insurance, securing their liability for construction defects.
