Paying for a Warranty
It depends on how you obtained your home warranty plan. Homeowners can get a home warranty plan in one of four ways.
- The homeowner buys one for themselves.
- A real estate agent buys it for the buyer at closing.
- The home seller buys it for the buyer as an incentive.
- A friend or family member buys it for the homeowner.
If you purchased a home warranty plan yourself, you have the option to pay for the full 12-month term upfront or make monthly payments. If you choose monthly payments, you can manage your account and payments in the Homeowner Portal.
