HVAC Tune-ups
2-10 offers pre-season tune-ups to make sure your HVAC is ready for each season—including an AC tune-up in the spring and a heating tune-up in the fall. HVAC tune-ups are an easy, affordable way to help avoid expensive breakdowns and extend the life of your system.
HVAC Tune-up Details
Included
- Check the heat exchanger (heating check in fall)
- Inspect disconnects (AC in spring, heating in fall)
- Check thermostat
- Check filters
- Check contactor and condensate line
- Test capacitors and operations
- Clean/tighten electrical connections
- Test safety and limit switches
- Check refrigerant levels and systems pressures (AC check in spring)
- Clean the burners (heating check in fall)
- Inspect the pilot system (heating check in fall)
- With a heat pump system - test temperature split, rinse condenser coils, check evaporator coil & perform amp draw on condenser motor and compressor
Excluded
- Free filters (However if you provide us with a new one, the Pro will install it for you)
- Geothermal systems, mini-split systems, boilers, swamp coolers, window and wall units, and oil furnaces
- Cleaning or unclogging services to correct problems related to lack of manufacturer recommended maintenance
- Oil furnaces
- Window and wall units
- Evaporator/indoor coil cleaning, including acid cleaning beyond hosing with water
- Systems that are unsafe for Pro to access safely to perform tune-up
- Recharging refrigerant (requires new service request)
- Cleaning of condensate line stoppages (requires new service request)
Tune-ups are available in the spring and fall for $100 per unit with our Systems or Pinnacle plan. HVAC Tune-up services are provided by Frontdoor® Pro.
