The water, sewer, and gas lines running from your home can develop leaks or breaks you won’t see coming until it’s too late. That’s why we offer optional exterior water, sewer, and gas line coverage as an add-on to any of our 2-10 plans. Stay ahead of costly repairs with this important protection.
What Does Exterior Lines Coverage Include?
Covered
- Leaks and breaks that occur in exterior fresh water, sewer, and gas lines and pipes located outside of the covered home, but within or on, the property boundary of the covered home address
- Exterior water and gas shutoff valves for the water and gas lines and/or pipes that exist within the property boundary of the covered home address
Not Covered
- Leaks and breaks of any line that occurs or extends beyond the property boundary of the covered home address
- The following types of exterior lines: sprinkler, landscape, pool and/or spa, septic tank leach lines
- Any exterior lines related to geothermal heating and/or cooling systems
- Any type of landscape restoration other than what is noted in the Special Limit associated with the repair or replacement of the exterior lines
- Any public, government, or utility owned assets, including meters
- Well pump and septic and associated downstream lines
- The Covered Item Limit is $2,000. Included in the Covered Item Limit is access to the leak or break of the exterior line. We will only backfill with dirt any access openings associated with the repair or replacement of the covered leak or break of the exterior line, and we will not provide any additional dirt backfill that may occur at a later date due to soil movement or soil settlement.
